  1. Hello.

I purchased two $25.00 Groupons on Dec 4, 2011, and both Groupons expired on June 6th, 2012. I have a value of $50.00, and I was wondering if I can use that money for a gift card. I never used my Groupons on any services. Please let me know if that is possible.

    Thank you!

If you groupon have not been used the price that you paid for it will not expire. In your case, you can always the paid amount toward any other service.

I went to the Edison location today to use my Aromatherapy Groupon (valued at $99). On the groupon questions, someone asked “I like deep tissue/hard massages- with oil or lotion is also very good. Is that a style employed by your spa? Thanks!” Jennifer Day Spa responded to this question on Groupon by saying “We use aroma oil. If you like deep tissue massages just request it when you arrive for the appointment.” I purchased the Groupon for the aromatherapy massage (valued at $99), and planned on using it for a deep tissue massage as suggested on the Groupon questions page. I did this today, and was told I needed to pay $20 more, because the Aromatherapy massage is only a Swedish massage with special oil. However, on your website, Swedish and deep tissue massages are the same price. I did not even get the aroma oil, but was still forced to pay extra for the deep tissue massage. This website lists Swedish and deep tissue massages as $80. The aromatherapy massage I purchased is listed on this website as $99. I don’t understand why I was told I needed to pay $20 more. Can someone clarify why the response on Groupon indicated this was OK to do, but when I went in today, I was told it is not.

Yes, I will help clear up this misunderstanding. Aromatherapy refers to the aromatic essential oils that we use to massage you. Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage refers to the pressure and the depth of the massage. Swedish= light, on the skin. Deep Tissue= stronger, and deeper into the muscles.
You purchased our “60 minute Aromatherapy Massage” at $34, normally priced at $99. This entails a 60 minute aromatherapy (using aromatic essential oils) in combination with the Swedish massage strength.
You got and paid for: a 60 minute Aromatherapy (using aromatic essential oils) in combination with the Deep Tissue massage strength. And the difference between the strength is $20 extra. So, you paid $54 for this service.
I appologize for the misunderstanding on groupon. You may request but it is a $20 upgrade.
As for the $20 extra on the discounted price: sweedish massage is very light, essentially on the skin which is easier for the beautician and more acceptable at a lower price. The deep tissue massage depends solely on more strength output from the beautician and thus the difference.

I am so sorry to see that your Green Brook location still has no power. I have a certificate that I’d like to use by Nov 21 when it expires. I hope you get your power back on by then, but if not will you extend the expiration date? I am happy to go to one of your two other locations. Please let me know what would be best. Thank you!

All of our stores are now up and running. Please make an appointment ASAP! We have a strict policy of not making extensions for our vouchers, since they do not expire for a long period of time; however, if it so happens that any unused vouchers are expired the paid value can always be used on any services we provide.
